“Live One” is an acrylic and watercolor painting by Janice B. Wueste Studio in collaboration with Judy Mason. It measures 36 by 48 inches. Here the oil derricks seem almost adrift on a sea of riotous color and meticulous yet nebulous brick-shapes. There is a vivid mental architecture on display; in the mind's eye we see and feel the land and the oil fields it supports. But the ultimate conlusion of this meditation upon the oil and gas industry must be drawn by the observer, and no one else.
